It takes over 600 volunteer hours per month to deliver meals to the homebound. By delivering meals you bring nutritious food and a friendly visit to eight to ten seniors and people with disabilities in your community. Our primary role for volunteers is delivering meals. Volunteers generally operate in pairs with one driving his or her own car and one delivering the food to the door. Most volunteers deliver just one day a week, although some do more and a few operate only as substitutes. The entire process takes about 2 hours. Deliveries take place on Monday through Friday from 10:45am to 12:45pm.
Together we can make a difference in the lives of seniors and those who are homebound.
Volunteers are the heart of Culver Palms Meals on Wheels. The work we do would not be possible without the help of our volunteer family. By volunteering just an hour or two of your time you can make a big difference in the lives of those who live right here in your community. There are many ways you can help.
